Big news today from Tudor, who are launching two new versions of the Pelagos FXD to celebrate their partnership with Alinghi Red Bull Racing, the America's Cup team. With a new chronograph and carbon composite cases for both models, it's a big change from the original military focus of the Pelagos FXD, so let's take a closer look.
Tudor Pelagos FXD Chrono Alinghi Red Bull Racing
Tudor is unveiling this model ref. M25807KN-0001, a Pelagos FXD Chronograph, to celebrate its partnership in the sailing world with the Alinghi Red Bull Racing team, which will be vying for the America's Cup title this autumn 2024. This prestigious watch features a Manufacture calibre, a 5-year warranty and a 43 mm case in matt black carbon composite with the team's logo engraved on the caseback.
This diver's reference is made of carbon composite for the case and bezel disc, a resistant and lightweight material, and titanium for the 120-notch bidirectional bezel. Its special feature is the counter-clockwise 60-minute scale for easy countdowns. As for the dial, it features the emblematic colour of the Alinghi Red Bull Racing crew, a matt blue found on the hull of the AC75. The watch is powered by the Manufacture MT5813 calibre, COSC-certified, and has a 70-hour power reserve.

This formidable watch is powered by the Manufacture MT5602 calibre, COSC-certified, and has a power reserve of up to 70 hours. Note that the strap is made from a single piece of blue fabric with a Velcro fastening, making it practical and suitable for all seasons. Note that the non-chronograph version has no date window at 6 o'clock and features hours, minutes and seconds.
Advanced functionalities
These two new additions to the FXD collection feature a Super-LumiNova grade X1 luminous material whose performance after two hours is "up to 60% better than standard materials", according to Tudor. (See photo below).

Note that the bracelet is made from a single piece of blue fabric with a Velcro fastening, making it practical and suitable for all seasons (see photo opposite).
