HERMÈS is a timeless brand that offers models designed to arouse emotions and open up new horizons. The HERMÈS women's and men's watch collections are full of fantasy and aestheticism for a minimalist contrast. The Manufacture offers watches with a high degree of technicality and know-how.
The little story
1837, Paris, rue Basse-du-Rempart, a certain Thierry Hermès founded the eponymous House. Since then, six generations have taken up the torch for ever more modernity and finesse in the meticulous creation of fashion objects.
Hermès is driven by a spirit of freedom and an ever-growing desire to create. As society and its needs have evolved, it has always been attentive and sensitive to the desires of its customers, but not only. The watch above is one of the very first made for Jacqueline Hermès, daughter of Emile Hermès, himself son of Thierry Hermès. This was in 1912 and from then on the family's interest in wristwatches was strong. Several collections were born. The Arceau collection was created in 1978, inspired by the stirrup. Then came the Cape Cod by the designer Henri d'Origny in 1991. It was in 1998 that the latter was worn with a double bracelet, the distinctive sign of the Manufacture. We arrive in 1997 with the launch of the Heure H with a case in the image of the brand, in the shape of an H. The adventure continues in 2003 with the Dressage collection driven by a Vaucher automatic movement. Here is a selection of some of the collections.
The HEURE H collection : Classic and timeless
Born in 1996 from a design by Philippe Mouquet, the Heure H watch has become an emblem for the Manufacture Hermès. The originality of this model lies in its distinctive H shape, the initial of the House. It is thanks to this collection that Hermès met with immense success among women and men who were won over by this highly recognisable classic. The Cape Cod Collection : A square in a rectangle
The Cape Cod collection, created by Henri d'Origny in 1991, owes its name to the eponymous posh American seaside resort. Its particularity, like most of the models from the Manufacture Hermès, lies in its shape: a square within a rectangle. With its Art Deco spirit, the Art Deco watch has been making its mark on men's and women's wrists for over 30 years. The House of Lepage invites you to discover the entire Cape Cod men's and women's collection available now on Lepage.fr.
The Arceau collection : Distinguished and elegant
An emblematic collection of the House of Hermès, Arceau is part of the Manufacture's heritage. Designed in 1978 by a certain Henri d'Origny, a designer in Paris, it has become the brand's signature watch. The most distinctive feature of this collection is the dial, and more precisely the slanted hour markers, which have made this piece unique and recognisable. The Nantucket Collection : A rectangle within a rectangle
Created in 1991, the Nantucket collection is the brainchild of designer Henri d'Origny. The little sister of the Cape Cod, the Nantucket has character and asserts its particular shape: the rectangle within the rectangle. This collection, exclusively for women, is inspired by the links of the Chaîne d'Ancre, which was inspired by Robert Dumas in 1938. For just over thirty years, the Nantucket has been seducing those in search of elegance and refinement on the wrist. Discover the whole collection on Lepage.fr.
