The Origins

We know very little about this 18K gold bracelet watch that one of our customer from Lille was kind enough to entrust us with to give it a second life. But this item alone is the symbol of an era and a French watchmaking industry that has changed a lot. Indeed, from the beginning of the 60s to the end of the 70s, the Lepage sons went twice a year to Villers-le-Lac and Charquemont to order watches on which they put their brand on. However, the French watch industry ran out of steam at the end of the 1960s due to the loss of its privileged markets (the colonies) and ever-increasing competition, to which watchmakers were unable to present a united front. The following decade saw the arrival of quartz, which swept away most of them.

We tell you everything

This mechanical wristwatch is made of 18K yellow gold as indicated by its eagle head punch. Its integrated bracelet is also in 18K gold and has the particularity of being soberly textured and very finely articulated, which makes it very comfortable to wear. Its curved plexiglass glass gives a good visibility to its champagne dial.

The package

This Lepage watch is entirely original and well calibrated, however it is almost a collector's watch and it deserves the respect due to its age. It will be delivered to you in its original Lepage case. Overhauled by our watchmaker, this watch benefits from the Lepage Vintage 1 year warranty.
