The famous IWC Aviator range is in the pure tradition of the Maison IWC. In 1905, the Schaffhausen industrialist Ernst Jakob Homberger took over the management of the company. This led to the creation of two watch collections that are still considered icons at IWC today. The launch of the first "Special Aviator's Watch" in 1936 began the tradition of producing Aviator's Watches in Schaffhausen, which, thanks to their unmistakable design, are still very popular throughout the world today. The Ref. IW371701 that we offer you here is part of this great tradition.

What you need to know

This black dial chronograph is the 16th generation of IWC aviator's watches. This generation features a very pure style and contemporary proportions with a diameter of 42 mm. Its contrasting matte black dial is very legible and perfectly executed. The hours are indicated by Arabic numerals, except the 3-6-9 marked by sticks and the 12 marked by a triangle. The indications are given by 5 spear hands and a chronograph second hand typical of IWC; fine, long and elegant. The small red second hand is immediately eye-catching. Only the hour and minute hands are visible in the dark. The date and day of the week are displayed in English in a window at 3 o'clock. This watch was introduced in 2012 and its owner has taken great care of it. It will be delivered on a Lepage Nato leather strap. Like all IWC watches until recently, this chronograph is powered by a modified Valjoux 7750 that has proven itself here and elsewhere.

This watch will be delivered to you Full Set: dated and stamped warranty card, user manual, micro fiber cloth, original case, etc... Its original IWC bracelet and buckle are part of the package; even if we preferred to equip it with a Lepage leather strap. Of course, we can of course provide the original bracelet on request. It has been authenticated and revised by our watchmaker and as such benefits from the Lepage Vintage 1 year warranty.
