The basics

The Omega Seamaster 300 Collection is the oldest still in production. Although it has changed, all the DNA of the Seamaster family is present in this exceptional model. Known as the "Big Triangle" or "Big T", this model has a large triangular outline at midday. Associated with military models, the Big T's have been used by the British army in particular. It also has the particularity of being mounted on an elastic steel bracelet reference 1156/G end links 633. On the engine side, this watch is driven by the automatic Caliber 565. In 1955, Omega bought a small watch factory belonging to Marc Favre, who had created an automatic calibre using a complete rotor. In 1965, they produced the caliber 565 (evolution of the 552). This movement with 24 jewels has the particularity of being shock-resistant and anti-magnetic. It is also equipped with a fast date.

The archive certificate for this Omega Seamaster 300 tells us that the watch was launched in Japan in October 1969. It is the version with screwed crown, its case in perfect condition has probably never been polished. Its original bezel in bakelite with tritium graduations is also remarkably well preserved. Its dial, marked "T swiss made T" to indicate the presence of Tritium, has developed a sublime patina, as have its hands. A little detail that we love, the Omega logo engraved in the centre of the glass!
