18k rose gold is crafted on the same basis as the yellow gold alloy, namely 75% pure gold and 25% other noble metals. The distinction between the two metals, yellow gold and rose gold, lies in the concentration of copper in the alloy, which gives rose gold its characteristic soft color. Each Jewelry Maison can therefore manufacture its own rose gold, with a more or less pronounced hue. At Lepage, we use a very soft, fairly subtle rose gold, so that the jewelry is easy-to-wear, everyday creations whose nuances blend best with the gemstones it supports.
