The Ernest engagement ring
There's nothing ordinary about it, and that's what we like so much about Ernest. A surprising jewelry creation, the Ernest engagement ring is astonishing, as much for its retro influences as for the combination of shapes with which it plays without false notes. The lovely play of contrasts is highlighted by the two sizes of diamonds, worked with great ingenuity...
A little history
The cutting technique invented in 1476 by Louis de Berquem is so effective that it is still the only one in use today. As in those days, diamonds are cut using iron disks and a grinding wheel of his own invention, coated with oil and diamond powder obtained by rubbing two diamonds together.
Jeweller's word
The Ernest engagement ring is a veritable festival of light! Less classic than the brilliant cut, the baguette and oval cuts are combined here to create an elegant piece of jewelry with a retro-chic style. With the Ernest engagement ring, we'd like to invite you to rediscover the singular beauty of the oval-cut diamond, set in a chaton basket between four claws. To accompany it, two baguette-cut diamonds are set in yellow gold, securely held in a closed setting.
