The Emile solitaire ring

Very 50s, Emile is a dandy who fully assumes his character! Sure of himself, Emile is not afraid of the eyes and shows a crazy elegance in all circumstances. His curves emphasize his assertive temperament. To design this solitaire ring, we started from the constraints imposed by the oval shape of the central diamond. We wanted to offer this little-known cut a setting worthy of it.

A little history

For a long time, the diamond was reserved for a caste of which it was the symbol of power, strength and courage. King Saint Louis, in 1270, forbade all women, regardless of their rank, to wear precious stones. It is only in 1444 with Agnes Sorel, that women had again the possibility of wearing precious stones. Charles VII, madly in love with Agnes, offered her a diamond which then became a symbol of love.

A jeweler's word

By working on the oval cut, we wanted to pay tribute to the 1950s, which is why the bezel has this characteristic basket shape. The four claw setting is ideal for highlighting the diamond in this engagement ring and has the added benefit of ensuring a secure fit.
