The Florentine, a diamond weighing 132.27 carats, changed hands many times: possession of Charles the Bold, it also adorned the tiara of Pope Julius II, then became part of the Habsburg treasure. In 1918, when Emperor Charles I of Austria fled to Switzerland it was sold or stolen; since then it is certain that the stone has disappeared, we still hope to see it reappear.

We imagined the Aristide engagement ring as a discreet creation with retro charm. To achieve this, the 18k yellow gold setting features clean lines and carries a basket-shaped bezel that delicately encircles the brilliant-cut diamond. The classic 4-claw setting lets the stone reveal its brilliance, which is enhanced by a surround of 8 diamonds. The Aristide engagement ring is distinguished by its simple elegance, which perfectly enhances the diamond.
