For the Little Story

The year 1905 marked the discovery of the largest diamond in South Africa in the Premier Mine: The Cullinan. Weighing more than half a kilo, or 2,500 carats the stone was so expensive that it found no takers. The South African government acquired it and offered it in 1907 to King Edward VII on the occasion of his 66th birthday as a token of gratitude for the Transvaal's recent autonomy.

A jeweller's word

Here, the work consisted of filing the notches in the bezel's claws so that the stone could come safely into its cradle. We then completed the crimping using the crimping tool so that all the claws were firmly pressed against the stone. The claws were then rounded to form small balls. The diamond is sublimely set, with the chain passing through a simple rounded setting for perfect support. Thanks to its adjustable chain, you can wear this magnificent necklace with all your outfits.
