The Foudre engagement ring in white gold and diamond

The Foudre engagement ring is a firm favourite in the Evidence collection. Here, the stone sits quietly on a four-claw bezel encircled with gold wire to give it a firm hold and highlight its exceptional colour. Like love it will stand the test of time without taking on a wrinkle and will remain the silent witness to your immeasurable love.

For the Little Story

Vajra was the first name given to the diamond to designate it, which can be translated into French as "Coup de Tonnerre". Later, in Pliny's Historia Naturalis it would be called the Adamas, which this time translates as "the indomitable", or "the indestructible".

A jeweller's word

To create the claw setting, gold wires or planés can be used to carry the stone above the ring body. This leaves the jewel visible and highlights it. The light can then play as it pleases and enhance it. For our Foudre engagement ring, we designed a setting with finely bolted claws, with a low setting so that the stone is as close to your finger as possible.
