Launched in the wake of the success of the Alpine Eagle collection, the XL Chrono version in Lucent Steel A223 asserts a sporty, robust and refined temperament. With its 44 mm diameter, this watch with an assertive presence incorporates a COSC-certified automatic flyback chronograph caliber in a case cut out for action as well as elegance.

This model represents the quintessence of contemporary watchmaking sport-chic, combining high mechanical performance, racy architecture and meticulous finishing.

A bold design, cut from the steel of tomorrow

The 44 mm case, imposing without excess, is machined from Lucent Steel A223, a steel exclusive to Chopard: harder, shinier, purer, and 70% recycled. Its structured caseband, circular bezel secured by eight directional screws, and pushpieces integrated into the crown guards create a monobloc and dynamic silhouette.

Particularity of this version: it is mounted on a textured blue rubber strap, designed to naturally extend the lines of the case. At once supple, resistant and comfortable, it accentuates the model's sporty character while guaranteeing excellent everyday ergonomics. Its deep blue echoes the Aletsch dial, in a perfectly harmonious whole.

The Aletsch blue dial, with a radiating pattern inspired by the eagle's iris, features three harmoniously balanced counters:

• small seconds at 6 o'clock
• 30-minute totalizer at 3 o'clock
• 12-hour counter at 9 o'clock
• A date window is discreetly integrated at 4:30. The applied baton hour markers and faceted baton hands are luminescent (Super-LumiNova®).

A flyback chronograph caliber, chronometer-certified

Inside, Chopard houses a high-flying movement: the automatic Chopard 03.05-C caliber, entirely developed and assembled within the Chopard Manufacture in Fleurier. It has:

• flyback function (instantaneous reset without stopping)
• vertical clutch and column wheel
• 60-hour power reserve
• COSC certification (chronometer)

This caliber combines modern chronograph technology with a robust design, ensuring smooth, precise and long-lasting operation. The transparent sapphire crystal case back reveals a meticulous finish and an engraved oscillating weight.
