The model: Spring Drive Diver's 200 m

The SBGA229 is a professional diving watch by Grand Seiko, combining robustness, legibility and technical elegance. Its imposing 44.2 mm stainless steel case, water-resistant to 200 meters, asserts its utilitarian character while retaining the brand's signature impeccable finishes: Zaratsu polished surfaces, meticulous brushing and sharp angles.

Its matte black dial offers optimal readability thanks to large applied hour markers and hands filled with Lumibrite, ensuring maximum visibility even in extreme conditions. At 3 o'clock, a discreet date is inserted into the dial, while a semicircular power reserve, positioned between 7 and 8 o'clock, recalls the uniqueness of its movement. The unidirectional bezel in black ceramic, notched with precision, completes the ensemble.

The watch is mounted on a solid steel bracelet with a secure folding clasp and extension for diving suits.

The movement

The beating heart of this piece, the Spring Drive 9R65 caliber combines the precision of a quartz with the emotion of a mechanical movement. Patented by Seiko, this caliber uses a mechanical energy source (motor spring) regulated by a quartz oscillator and an electromagnetic regulator, guaranteeing a precision of ±1 second per day.

Thanks to this technology, the second hand moves perfectly smoothly across the dial, without the slightest jolt. The movement offers a 72-hour power reserve, which can be seen directly on the dial. Designed, assembled and adjusted by hand in the Shinshu studio, it is a testament to the unique expertise of Grand Seiko.

The package

This Grand Seiko Sport is a NOS (New Old Stock) model, in new condition and in perfect working order. It is delivered with its box and all its documents. It also comes with the GS guarantee for a period of five years.
