History of the Black Bay

The Black Bay 32/36/41 made its debut in 2012 and, as its name suggests, comes in three sizes: 32, 36 and 41 mm with a choice of three dials: black (Ref. M79540-0006), blue (Ref. M79540-0004) and silver. Initially black, the Black Bay was similar to the Rolex Explorer model due to its minimalist aesthetic.

Let's get acquainted

The silvered dial has a sunburst satin finish mounted on a polished steel case, which makes the bezel smooth for a fine and elegant look. The Black Bay 41 ref. M79540-0011 features the text “Rotor Self-Winding”, giving it a vintage look, but that's not all! The text curves and “smiles” on the dial.

Snowflake and big crown

We're not going to talk here about the weather above our heads but about the time that passes on our wrists! Its legendary dial, inspired by the first Tudor divers, features the so-called “snowflake” hands, characteristic of the brand's watches delivered to the French Navy in the 1970s. As for the crown, it refers to the 7924 model from 1958, nicknamed Big Crown due to its prominence on the case.

The package

This Tudor Black Bay 41 is a NOS (New Old Stock) model, still on the sticker and in perfect working order. It comes with its case and all its documents. It also comes with the Tudor warranty for a period of five years.
