Tangente is the icon of NOMOS. The German brand has reinvented it in this “Dunkelbunt” version.

This version features a strikingly deep black dial that captures the light and reveals almost blue nuances. The bright orange hour numerals and second indexes contrast with the blue hour indexes and creamy white railroad markers. This bold color palette evokes the lanterns that illuminate summer nights, creating a festive and warm atmosphere.

The orange and blue typography, the signature of this Dunkelbunt edition, adds a touch of dynamism and modernity. The date window, with its black background and creamy white numerals, blends harmoniously into the dial. A movement made in Glashütte

Since 1845, the town of Glashütte has been known as the cradle of German watchmaking. Located in the region of Saxony, this place brings together some of the most prestigious watch manufacturers, such as Glashütte Original, the independent Mortiz Grossman and the famous Maison A. Lange & Söhne. A true guarantee of quality, Glashütte watches demonstrate real watchmaking expertise and a high degree of engineering. However, to bear the name “Glashütte”, it is necessary to generate at least 50% of the value of the caliber in the territory of the small municipality. The Nomos brand willingly complies with this requirement and even does better with 95% integrated production! A real feat for an independent company!

Let's now focus on the caliber equipping this Nomos Tangente 38. It features the DUW 4101 caliber and its 43-hour power reserve, which is a superb example of the brand's know-how. DUW is an acronym for “Deutsche Uhrenwerke”, which is the guarantee of a German movement with all that that implies in terms of rigor. It is intended to be precise and extra-thin at just 2.8 mm thick. Its construction is recognizable at first glance in its finish and design! The manual mechanical caliber is based on a three-quarter plate with a “Glashütte ribbing” finish. A sunburst effect is applied to the ratchet and crown wheel, and the blued screws contrast with the surface of the rhodium-plated bridges, bringing a superb shine to the whole. These are very beautiful watchmaking decorations that are most often found on much more expensive calibers. Moreover, it is extremely efficient and uses the NOMOS swing system, a proprietary escapement! What's more, this caliber includes NOMOS' patented date mechanism and is regulated according to the values of a chronometer.

We know this Nomos Tangente 38 Date Dunkelbunt very well, because we sold it in our Lille store in June 2024. It is in perfect condition. It will be delivered to you as a Full Set, with its box and guarantee. This model has been refinished and checked by our watchmaker. This watch is under NOMOS warranty until June 2026.
