Bell & Ross BR-03 A522 Alpine automatic Full Set 2023

The brief

You only have to look at this watch to guess that its theme is motor racing! While the French brand is known to watch enthusiasts for its aviation and pilot's watches, this BR 03 is designed for drivers of an entirely different kind.

Prepared in partnership with the Alpine F1 team, the BR 03-92 A522 is named after the single-seater entered in the 2022 Formula 1 World Championship. It was piloted by Frenchman Esteban Ocon and Spaniard Fernando Alonso.

A technical case

A veritable professional tool, the BR 03 meets the legibility requirements of professional aviators: the bead-blasted black finish of the 42 mm ceramic case, found on instrument panels, optimizes dial reading by eliminating reflections. This material combines strength and lightness, essential qualities in Formula 1 racing!

Parallel trajectories

Decorated with the tricolor flag, adorned with the blue of the racing team and displaying the Alpine emblem as a counterweight to the seconds hand, the bead-blasted black dial focuses on legibility and functionality in all circumstances: for a dinner in town, a business meeting as well as in the paddocks on Grand Prix days.

This dial has been designed like a car speedometer, incorporating Alpine's graphic identity in its numerals and colors. It features large white numerals, charged with Super-LumiNova®, which contrast with the surrounding black, allowing the time to be read immediately, day or night. The italicized typography conveys the idea of speed through its slant.

Engine side

Echoing this quest for efficiency, Bell & Ross has equipped its BR 03-92 with an enduring movement, the mechanical self-winding BR-CAL.302 caliber with hour, minute, seconds and date functions. The choice of this caliber is entirely logical, it's a real tractor, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering 42 hours of power reserve.

The package

This Bell & Ross limited to 999 pieces is in excellent condition, if not practically new. It will be delivered Full Set with its original case, instructions for use and original warranty card dated 2023. The box also includes a brand-new nylon strap and a set of tools for changing the strap. This BR 03-94 A522 has been authenticated and checked by our watchmakers, and as such benefits from the Lepage Vintage 1-year warranty. Water-resistance has also been checked.
