The centerpiece of the Bell & Ross range, the BR 03 collection encapsulates the House's identity and symbolizes its style. Since 2006, the BR 03 has been one of the pillars of Bell & Ross. With its iconic design directly inspired by the cockpit of an airplane, the company has built on the fundamental principle of function with its emblematic “round in the square with four screws” design, born in 2005 with the BR 01. Able to assume a vintage look, cultivate simplicity, take the paths of sophistication or explore all aesthetic territories, the BR 03 has earned its iconic status.

A neo-retro model

A true professional tool, the BR 03 meets the legibility requirements of professional aviators: the bead-blasted black finish of the 42 mm case, found on aircraft dashboards, optimizes dial reading by eliminating reflections.

But this Heritage version doesn't stop at its black ceramic case! It also features a trendy neo-retro dial! Its hour-markers and hands are coated with cream Super-Luminova, inspired by the “Tritium” patina of vintage watches.

This watch is a pure cockpit instrument - as an aviation watch should be. The proportions of the dial are perfectly studied, creating an unrivalled graphic balance that draws the eye directly to the relevant information with ease. We particularly like the way the French brand integrates the date window at 4:30. Round and color-matched, it is designed to be discreet.

High-tech ceramic case

In the aerospace world, ceramics play a key role in the manufacture of parts subjected to very high temperatures, acid attack, corrosion and erosion. It is used in heat shields and the nose cones of aerospace rockets. It is also used in the medical world for its biocompatibility. Bell & Ross has reworked ceramic to develop a specific manufacturing process that enhances the intrinsic qualities of this remarkable material: ceramic is scratchproof, colorfast and lighter.

Add to this an intriguing three-part sandwich construction: The central case is secured by visible screws, screwed in from above. By exposing these screws, Bell & Ross has captured the spirit of a cockpit instrument without succumbing to superfluity. The same thing happens on the back, where four additional screws are screwed into the corners to secure the case back. The angular, articulated lugs complete this muscular look!

An automatic caliber

This watch is powered by a BR-CAL-302 caliber, built from the Swiss Sellita SW-300-1 movement. This caliber is a real tractor, beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering 42 hours of power reserve!
