The quintessence of vintage elegance, the TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 11 has the emblematic crown at 9 o'clock and two push-buttons at 2 and 4 o'clock
The pitch
Bold and non-conformist, the TAG Heuer Monaco has been an icon since its creation in 1969. Made legendary by Steve McQueen, who wore it in the 1971 Hollywood film 'Le Mans', this watch owes its name to the famous car race on the Monaco circuit. A reflection of vintage elegance, it has many times in its history witnessed the special link between the Swiss company TAG Heuer and motor racing. The first square model to be launched, the Monaco's particularity lies not only in its shape, but also in the position of its crown, on the left-hand side of the case.
The spirit of racing embodied by the TAG Heuer Monaco
Much more than just a watch with a bold design, the TAG Heuer Monaco owes its name to the legendary principality that hosts one of the world's most emblematic Formula 1 races. This relationship has retained a special place in the heart and history of the company, and remains a key element of TAG Heuer's identity to this day.
More details
This Monaco Racing Green model is equipped with a Calibre 11 swiss made automatic movement, and the 39 mm-diameter case retains the codes that have built its reputation, while being imbued with the colours that forged the motor races of yesteryear. Its dial and bracelet are adorned in green and yellow, while the logos of the two Houses are printed and proudly worn throughout. Stand out from the crowd and live your passion at 100 km/h with this TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Blue. The dial is adorned with eight applied, polished and silvered hour-markers, as well as 12 light green Super-LumiNova® hour-markers for enhanced legibility. At 12 o'clock, a faceted marker is enhanced by a vibrant yellow stripe, a reminder of the chronograph's central yellow hand and the touches of yellow adorning the famous racing cars.
Did you know?
Each country thus had its own colour: Rosso Corsa for Italy, white which later gave way to metallic grey for Germany, and a specific shade of blue for France, a colour adopted last year for the Monaco Chronograph Racing Blue. For this new chapter, it is the famous British Racing Green that serves as the inspiration for the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Green, the brand's latest creation.
