The Swiss watchmaker reprises its role as Official Timekeeper for this year's edition of the great ocean duel: The Louis Vuitton 37th America's Cup - August 22 to October 27, 2024.

OMEGA's association with the famous regatta began in 1995, when it supported Emirates Team New Zealand, led by legendary navigator Sir Peter Blake. The Kiwis' victory that year paved the way for OMEGA to win the coveted role of Official Timekeeper in 2000, 2003 and 2021. This year, history is set to repeat itself. The crews, the race committee and the legions of fans can count on OMEGA. In addition to having timed previous America's Cup regattas with flawless accuracy, OMEGA has been the official timekeeper for almost every Olympic Games since 1932.

The race for the 37th Louis Vuitton America's Cup is one of many regattas taking place in Barcelona. In 2024, OMEGA's list of timing tasks has expanded to include two new high-profile competitions. The Puig Women's America's Cup, which will make its debut in 2024, and the Unicredit Youth America's Cup, an opportunity for emerging crews to prove their worth on the waves.

Seamaster Diver 300M Special Edition “America's Cup”

This timepiece is the latest addition to the highly acclaimed Seamaster Diver 300M range, first launched in 1993. Its wave-patterned dial, raised hour-markers, skeleton hands and helium escape valve are all hallmarks of this legendary, depth-defying timepiece, which has won over a large number of loyal admirers.

This America's Cup version offers a 42 mm-diameter stainless steel case and features a unidirectional blue ceramic bezel with a regatta scale, composed of two 5-minute pre-start sections and a START section with a regatta-inspired flag.

In honor of sailing's greatest international competition, it sports its own waves, laser-engraved in relief on the matte white ceramic dial. The central chronograph seconds hand features the America's Cup trophy in the same blue as the Barcelona logo. The circled hour markers and hands are blue, with a subtle gradation of red on the minute hand, the colors of the race.

The watch is mounted on a stainless steel bracelet, created with OMEGA's new quick-change system, which allows the owner to easily replace it with a system-compatible rubber strap. It is also fitted with a patented extendable folding clasp featuring a rack-and-pinion clasp and an additional extension for diving.

A commemorative caseback

On the back of the watch is another reference to the sumptuous regatta scale. The sapphire crystal caseback features the distinctive logo of the 37th edition of the America's Cup, endowed with the inscription “Auld Mug” and the letter B for Barcelona.

A Co-Axial caliber certified Master Chronometer

This Diver 300M is powered by an Omega 8806 manufacture self-winding movement. Equipped with a Co-Axial escapement, it delivers excellent performance while offering a well-balanced watch for everyday use. Indeed, the movement and watch have been tested in accordance with the METAS-approved Master Chronometer certification procedure, guaranteeing the watch's precision between 0 and +5 seconds per day. The caliber is resistant to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss, so you don't have to worry about the electronic equipment that surrounds us every day. The racketless balance wheel with silicon balance spring beats at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations, a standard frequency providing 55 hours of power reserve.
