- Limited edition
For those who prefer sobriety, the Yema Traveller Micro-Rotor in matt black provides the perfect setting for its micro-rotor movement, also in black. A successful marriage of elegance and technical sophistication.
First French micro-rotor watch!
Inspired by the iconic YEMA Wristmaster watches of the 1960s, the Traveller Micro-Rotor Limited Edition model embodies French watchmaking elegance and innovation. Equipped with France's first ultra-thin micro-rotor manufacture caliber, this exceptional watch allows its mechanism to be admired through its sapphire crystal display caseback. Designed as a luxury sports watch, it features an integrated steel bracelet and 100-meter water-resistance guaranteed by a screw-down crown. This collector's edition limited to 1,948 pieces, each engraved with a unique number on the micro-rotor winding weight, features 3 distinct dial colors matching the micro-rotor caliber.
A symphony of shapes and materials
The new Traveller Micro-Rotor as a luxury sports watch with integrated bracelet, with an ultra-seductive and elegant look, humbly aspiring to become the ultimate expression of contemporary French watchmaking, a synthesis of French art and watchmaking craftsmanship. The Traveller Micro-Rotor case, 39 mm in diameter, features an asymmetrical octagonal flange married to a round bezel. The satin-finished steel case features dozens of facets finished with great attention to design, with brushed surfaces illuminated by polished bevels all around.
French culture and a sense of beauty are the greatest source of inspiration for the aesthetics of the Traveller Micro-Rotor, a blend between the French sense of aesthetics and the rules of classic design. The integrated stainless steel bracelet, with flat brushed surfaces and polished bevels on the sides, is closed by a triple folding clasp. The continuous pattern of vertical brushed surfaces and polished angles extends naturally from the top of the bezel to the case and integrated steel bracelet, creating the appearance of seamless integration.
Powered by a micro-rotor caliber, the watch measures just 9.20 mm thick. The case thickness has been considerably reduced compared to the original Traveller model, from 12 mm to 9.20 mm, creating a more elegant symmetry to the naked eye with a case that is 43.50 mm long and 39 mm wide, offering perfect proportions for every wrist size.
Yema has worked the case to its advantage, executing every angle with the same set of alternating brushed-polished finishes, which capture the eye and give great elegance and singularity to the case while preserving the marked sporting spirit. The bezel, inspired by a YEMA Sous-Marine model from the 1980s, is made from a single piece of stainless steel. However, it has three distinct finishes: the upper and lower bezels feature elegant vertical brushing and a fully polished transition at the junction of the bezel's horizontal and vertical surfaces. The continuous pattern of vertical brushed surfaces and polished angles extends naturally from the top of the bezel to the case and integrated steel bracelet, creating the appearance of seamless integration. The slightly tapered links of the integrated bracelet (24 mm at the case to 20 mm at the ball) continue the effect, with vertical brushed surfaces continuing to meet polished angles all the way to the butterfly clasp.
A minimalist dial
The dial on these Wristmasters is lightly embossed and curved with a subtle gradation from light to dark. This dial reveals itself in full light, creating a powerful yet refined aesthetic that harmonizes perfectly with the brilliance of the bezel. The applied indexes and matching steel hands, both treated with a luminescent coating, as well as the absence of a date complication are fundamental design elements that reinforce the luxurious minimalism and sporty elegance of this unique timepiece.
The slightly raised sapphire crystal offers enhanced legibility, increased resistance and a resolutely vintage look. The hands and hour markers are treated with Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9 Grade A to offer perfect legibility in low-light conditions.
A technical, innovative and modern caliber
Four talented French watchmakers, cumulating over 120 years' experience with the most prestigious watch brands, took up the challenge of creating YEMA's first Manufacture Calibre. Today, it is rare to find modern timepieces equipped with micro-rotor movements. YEMA wanted to demonstrate its mastery of microtechnology and passion for aesthetics by perfectly executing this mechanism to the delight of watch enthusiasts and collectors.
Instead of the traditional "côtes de Genève" decoration, the brand opted for a minimalist, uniform high-quality coating to accentuate the innovative look of this caliber à, resulting in a uniform, elegant look and feel. The exceptional satin-brushed and polished bead-blasted treatment of the main plate and bridges is finished in three distinct colors using the latest ALD (or atomic layer deposition) technology by Swiss nanometric decorative coatings specialist Positive Coating, a supplier to high-end Swiss brands. This revolutionary gas deposition process ensures a uniform coating with nanometer precision, preserving the satin decor of the surface and the polished finish of the corners.
On the technical side, the CMM.20 caliber is a true feat of watchmaking engineering, combining innovation and tradition. All the components, with the exception of the regulating part, are manufactured directly in France.
The movement boasts remarkable precision, between -3 and +7 seconds per day. This is made possible by the use of a balance wheel made of Glucydur, a non-magnetic metal alloy offering high resistance to deformation. This material is ideal for precision components, offering performances very close to the COSC standard. The watch also boasts an impressive 70-hour power reserve. The oscillating weight of the micro-rotor is made of a high-density tungsten alloy, acting as a counterweight to this small-volume micro-component. This allows optimized winding, ensuring extended watch autonomy. This manufacture caliber perfectly illustrates YEMA's mastery of microtechnology and commitment to quality and innovation, offering watch enthusiasts an exceptional timepiece.
