The new collection, Classics Elegance Luna

The Classics Elegance Luna is a new creation within Frederique Constant's Classics collection. A major first for the Maison, its moon phase was designed by the daughter of the Manufacture's Director of Research & Development. A complicit and amorous moon, representing two kissing half-moons, deployed on a mother-of-pearl dial within a 36 mm steel case.

Some looks are more innocent than others. When the daughter of Manufacture Frederique Constant's Research & Development Director enjoys dreaming about a moon phase, she imagines it far from the usual standards. Her approach is not that of a designer or watchmaker. Rather, it's that of a loving, benevolent poetry where two moon halves meet and embrace against a starry background.

The very classic character of this composition is now reinforced by a new hour circle. It eclipses the traditional Arabic numerals in favor of fine, graceful Roman numerals. For the first time in the collection, they are in a color repeated on the stitched leather strap with folding clasp. The idea of matching index and bracelet is an aesthetic signature exclusive to this collection - and a rare bias in watchmaking.

The model

The Classics Elegance Luna watch is distinguished by its refined elegance and traditional style. For the first time in the Classics collection, the color of the indexes matches the stitched leather strap, creating a unique combination and a distinctive aesthetic signature rare in the world of watchmaking.

This new model sports a 36mm-diameter steel case, illuminated with silver highlights. The dial, subtly pearlescent, offers superb moiré reflections that vary between pink, blue, grey and light green, depending on the light, thanks to a skilfully chosen color palette. The hour circle is magnificently adorned with 56 diamonds, totaling 0.7 carats.

The real jewel of this watch lies in the aperture at 6 o'clock, where a moon disk exclusive to Maison Frederique Constant offers an enchanting spectacle. The two moon halves, one light gray and the other dark gray, meet and embrace, creating a perfect harmony with the rest of the watch's components. These silvery hues, selected for their subtlety, celebrate the beauty and poetry of the lunar star, offering a true ode to the moon.

Finally, this watch is powered by the automatic caliber, the FC-331, ensuring a 38-hour power reserve. Visible through the transparent caseback, it offers an attractive finish, and exposes itself without limit in its mechanical intimacy, presenting finishes dear to the Geneva manufacture, such as Côtes de Genève, circular graining but also colimaçonnage.
