A historic collection

In 1974, LIP called on 7 designers from outside the watch industry to breathe new life into the brand's collections, following the social events of 1973. It was in the collection presented in 1975 that the brand's revival truly exploded, and incredibly innovative models were introduced.

Inspired by his work on the Portavia 111 portable TV, Roger TALLON designed the TV and BIG TV. Inside this square case comes a round-shaped dial for perfect time-reading.

The LIP BIG TV Skeleton

The BIG TV Automatic features a steel case measuring 35 x 35 mm in diameter, water-resistant to 50 meters with a fully brushed finish. Its case is inspired by the period model, with the crown at noon as its original feature. The watch is adorned with an orange perforated cowhide leather strap. Inside the square case is a round skeleton dial for perfect time-reading. The dial is surrounded by black, to make reading more intuitive, with white indexes and hands with luminova finish. This provides high contrast and makes it easier to read the time. This dial is topped by a sapphire crystal that has undergone an anti-reflective treatment.

A Japanese Miyota 8S20 automatic movement

You'll have the pleasure of admiring the movement that drives this LIP through its transparent caseback. It's the Miyota 8S20 caliber, which powers three hands. Featuring 21 jewels, this movement oscillates at 21600 vibrations per hour and offers a 40-hour power reserve.
