Omega Constellation, the height of sophistication

The Constellation collection is one of the most emblematic lines of the Omega Manufacture and has been since 1952. Embodying the pinnacle of sophistication and precision, it pays tribute to the many precision records achieved by the House throughout the 20th century. It was in 1982 that the model was revisited with the characteristic elements we all know and still see today: the claws on each side of the case, the half-moon facets and the Constellation star found at six o'clock.

These elements are inspired by the precise movement of the stars. And for this year 2024, this stellar theme continues with a new range of models featuring unique dials created from meteorite. And not just any meteorite! The dials come from the Muonionalusta meteorite, which is probably the oldest known meteorite on Earth, dating back over 4.5 billion years. Thanks to the natural patterns in this ancient space material, each slice is unique. For OMEGA customers, this means that no two dials will ever be the same. The watch you choose for your wrist will reveal its own character!

Presentation of the 29 mm model

This 29mm watch features a stainless steel and 18K Sedna™ gold single-row case and bracelet. It boasts the Constellation's signature features, including polished claws, half-moon facets and a diamond-paved bezel.

The sublime dial is composed of a genuine ferrous meteorite fragment that has received a rhodium-grey galvanised treatment. The natural pattern of the meteorite is unique to each model, so no two dials are ever the same. A date window at 6 o'clock as well as diamond hour markers and an 18K Sedna™ gold Constellation star also adorn the dial.

Behind the sapphire crystal caseback, this impressive watch is driven by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8700 calibre.

A METAS automatic calibre

Behind its sapphire caseback is the Omega calibre 8700. This is a self-winding movement that embodies watchmaking excellence, incorporating the Co-Axial escapement for optimum performance. Certified Master Chronometer and approved by METAS, it offers exceptional resistance to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. This calibre has a free sprung balance with a silicon balance spring, guaranteeing remarkable precision and durability. Its automatic bi-directional winding ensures enhanced efficiency. The aesthetics are not outdone, with a rhodium-plated finish featuring a Côtes de Genève arabesque motif, giving this movement a luxurious and distinctive look.
