OMEGA presents its new 41 mm Constellation made entirely of an 18K Moonshine™ gold case and single-row bracelet! A sparkling detail, each dial is unique, as it is created from a piece of ancient meteorite!
Omega Constellation, the height of sophistication
The Constellation collection is one of Manufacture Omega's most emblematic lines, and has been since 1952. Embodying the pinnacle of sophistication and precision, it pays tribute to the many precision records achieved by the Maison throughout the 20th century. It was in 1982 that the model was revisited with the characteristic elements we all know and still see today: the claws on each side of the case, the half-moon facets and the Constellation star located at six o'clock.
These elements are inspired by the precise movement of the stars. And for this year 2024, this stellar theme continues with a new range of models featuring unique dials created from meteorite. And not just any meteorite! The dials are derived from the Muonionalusta meteorite, probably the oldest known meteorite on Earth, over 4.5 billion years old. Thanks to the natural patterns found in this ancient space material, each slice is unique. For OMEGA customers, this means that no two dials will ever be identical. The watch you choose for your wrist will reveal its own character!
The model
This 41 mm watch features an 18K Moonshine™ gold case and single-row bracelet. It boasts the Constellation's signature features, including polished claws, half-moon facets and laser-engraved Roman numerals in positive relief on the bezel.
The sublime dial is composed of a genuine ferrous meteorite fragment that has received a PVD treatment in Moonshine™ gold. The natural meteorite pattern is unique to each model, so no two dials are ever the same. A date window at 6 o'clock and a Constellation star in 18K Moonshine™ gold also adorn the dial.
Behind the sapphire crystal caseback, this impressive watch is driven by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 8901.
An ultra-high-precision caliber
Behind its sapphire caseback is an OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8901 caliber, visible through the domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal caseback. This self-winding movement features a Co-Axial escapement and is certified Master Chronometer, approved by METAS, offering a precision of 0 to +5 seconds per day. To achieve such precision, highly advanced technology and construction is required, including a free sprung balance with silicon balance spring, enabling it to withstand magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. With its automatic bi-directional winding and two barrels fitted in series, caliber 8900 delivers a comfortable 60-hour power reserve. The movement is also beautifully finished, with a gold rotor and rhodium-plated bridges featuring the exclusive Côtes de Genève arabesque pattern.
