Model 890 "Sakura"

Citizen today expands the Series 8 collection with a modern and compelling diver. Made from stainless steel, it follows the trend for luxury sports watches, with a barrel-shaped case, raised bezel, integrated bracelet and textured dial.

Let's start with the case, which measures 40.5 mm in diameter and 11.7 mm thick, which is quite reasonable considering the sporty look of the watch. A sapphire crystal on top and another on the back protect the dial and movement.

The case of this Série 8 890 Mechanical features a hexagonal bezel, brushed on top and on the side, intersected by a wide polished bevel. On the left is a crown guard. This is not screwed in, but the watch is water-resistant to 200 meters. The second crown operates the internal diving bezel.

As its name "Sakura" suggests, this watch evokes cherry blossoms, a symbol of ephemeral beauty and renewal in Japan.
