The origin of the collection

The TSUYOSA collection (reference NJ015) has its roots in Citizen's NH299 collection, an iconic range that marked an important era for the brand. The NH299 collection was distinguished by its use of stainless steel, synonymous with robustness and elegance, and laid the foundations for what would become the TSUYOSA collection.

Today's TSUYOSA collection has been modernized while retaining the luxurious spirit of its predecessors. The case has been enlarged to 40 mm, offering a more assertive presence on the wrist. Sophisticated details include a cyclops lens for the date, enhancing legibility, and luminescent hands and hour-markers, ensuring optimum visibility in the dark. The variety of dial colors available means that every wearer can find a watch to suit his or her personal style. Despite these evolutions, the TSUYOSA collection remains faithful to some of the emblematic features that made the NH299 such a success. The crown located at 4 o'clock is an example of these distinctive elements that combine practical design and refined aesthetics.

The Tsuyosa collection is part of a long line of sport-chic watches with a very Seventies design, with its seductive, curvaceous lines! Its 40 mm steel case alternates polished and satin-finished surfaces, and its lugs-free design means that the president-style bracelet falls smoothly and naturally onto the wrist. This bracelet also boasts a highly detailed finish, with a mix of polished and satin-finished links.

On this reference, we find a sublime bright orange dial with a sunburst finish. Its nickname? Magu! For the record, "Magu" comes from "maguma", which is the Japanese way of pronouncing the word "magma". Indeed, its dial is inspired by the very intensity of magma gushing from volcanoes.
