Water-resistant to 600 metres, 45.5 mm in diameter, with a Master Chronometer-certified calibre: this Planet Ocean 600m model is the ultimate chronograph for diving!
Planet Ocean 600M: A now iconic model
Following the launch of the Diver 300M, Seamaster was swept up in a whirlwind of creativity. The early 2000s saw the arrival of several new models that are now considered modern classics. This is particularly true of the very first Seamaster Planet Ocean, unveiled in 2005. It, too, adopted many of the codes of the Seamaster 300, but was distinguished from the other models in the collection - and indeed from all the other watches in the world - by a signature feature: the Co-Axial escapement. With its inspired aesthetics, orange bezel and distinctive helium valve, it immediately became the model that diving enthusiasts loved. As its name suggests, the ocean is its natural environment, and that's up to 600 meters below the surface!
A really strong chronograph!
This chronograph version has a 45.50 mm satin-finish stainless steel case and features pushers equipped with satin-finish silicon nitride ceramic rings in a new bronze color. The satin-finished silicon nitride ceramic bezel, equipped with a liquid ceramic and Super-Luminova diving scale, sports the same bronze color.
The dial is coated with a sandblasted beige varnish and features a date window at 6 o'clock, "azure" bronze-coloured silicon nitride ceramic counters, and brown and black decal words. The OMEGA logo, Arabic numerals, hands and hour markers are all coated in satin-finish grey PVD, while white Super-Luminova enhances visibility in the dark.
This Seamaster Planet Ocean is mounted on an integrated beige rubber strap adorned with a structured pattern and white stitching. The sapphire crystal of the NAIAD LOCK caseback is adorned with a metallized seahorse.
A Co-Axial caliber certified Master Chronometer
There's no need to wait for the wind to pick up to operate this watch! The Co-Axial Master Chronometer 9900 caliber is at the helm. This self-winding chronograph movement resists magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. Equipped with a silicon balance spring, it displays the hour, minute and chronograph seconds in the center. Its display is completed by a small seconds counter at 9 o'clock, and a 12-hour and 60-minute counter at 3 o'clock. The caliber features rhodium-plated finishes and a Côtes de Genève arabesque motif, visible through the watch's sapphire caseback.
