The story

The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M needs no introduction. It became a legend as soon as it was launched in 1993, and has developed a substantial fan base in just over 25 years. It's truly one of the world's best-known watches, and we'd be remiss if we didn't mention that it's been James Bond's favorite watch since 1995.

The Seamaster name has a long and proud lineage within the Manufacture de Bienne, but the Diver 300M series is indeed the most important watch in the collection. This is evidenced by its many updates, the latest of which introduced Master Chronometer-certified Manufacture calibers.

The model

This 44 mm stainless steel chronograph is topped by a polished blue ceramic bezel featuring a white enamel diving scale. The pushers are also in polished blue ceramic, while the sunray dial in chrome-colored PVD-treated ceramic is decorated with laser-engraved waves and features a date aperture at 6 o'clock.

The counter hands are blued, as are the other hands and indexes, which are also coated in white Super-LumiNova. Last but not least, the watch is presented on a stainless steel bracelet.

The caliber

There's no need to wait for the wind to pick up to power this watch! The Co-Axial Master Chronometer 9900 caliber is at the helm. This self-winding chronograph movement resists magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. Equipped with a silicon balance spring, it displays the hour, minute and chronograph seconds in the center. Its display is completed by a small seconds counter at 9 o'clock, as well as a 12-hour and 60-minute counter at 3 o'clock. The caliber sports rhodium-plated finishes and a Côtes de Genève arabesque motif, visible through the watch's sapphire caseback.
