The pitch

Initially designed in 1931 for British Army polo players in the Indian colonies, the Reverso watch would very quickly rise to the rank of watchmaking icon and exert its seduction far beyond the polo fields. As early as 1931, a ladies' model adopted this Art Deco-inspired reversible case concept and paved the way for a whole universe of aesthetic creativity, a world in which watches became jewelry in their own right...

Since its creation, through various versions, the Reverso watch has managed to become multiple while remaining unique. Today, it remains the signature model of Manufacture horlogère Jaeger-LeCoultre, one of the world's most renowned for the quality, precision and style of its watches.

Getting to know you

Inspired by the Reversos of the late 1930s, the Reverso Classic embodies the traditional lines of the rectangular icon. Its "Medium" size case (42.9 X 25.5mm) features the three gadroons, and the interior of its stretcher is adorned with perlage, recalling the refined finishes of its caliber and giving it a resolutely distinguished aesthetic. On the dial side, we find a double finish (guilloché and vertical brushing) with an attractive "silver-white" hue, the original 12 Arabic numerals and the iconic sword hands, offering this Reverso Classic a timeless design.

Finally, on the mechanical side, we find the hand-wound caliber JLC 822, which offers a thickness of just 2.94 mm! This movement offers 42 hours of power reserve.
