The encounter

Initiated in 2015 with the Carroll Shelby company, the house of Baume et Mercier is evolving the partnership with an exclusive series of chronographs inspired by the legendary Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupé.

Born from the collaboration with Peter Brock to design a collection defining new aesthetic standards, this Baume et Mercier Clifton Club Shelby Cobra watch is a limited edition of 1964 pieces, in reference to the Daytona Coupé's victory at Le Mans in 1964.

The virile style of this 44 mm opening model is enhanced by an 'all-road' calfskin strap with automotive carbon-type embossing and red rubberized calfskin lining. Housing an automatic movement, the famous Valjoux 7750, its case features a screw-down sapphire caseback with a rim-shaped oscillating weight.

Choosen to make the Daytona's rear end recognizable at motor races, the blue and silver colors are largely repeated on the dial and the colimaçonné chronograph counters. The red chronograph hand contrasts with the overall dial, proudly bearing the Shelby brand logo. A limited-edition Baume et Mercier Clifton Club Shelby Cobra model for collectors and motorsports enthusiasts.
