The story

A legend of Swiss watchmaking, Omega's "Speedmaster Moonwatch" has become a symbol of the conquest of space. It has been used in all NASA manned space flights from the Gemini project to the ISS program. Approved on March 1, 1965 by NASA to accompany space missions, the Omega Speedmaster chronograph became a legend on Buzz Aldrin's wrist in 1969 during the Apollo 11 mission. To this day, the Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional remains the only watch to have been to the moon, hence its nickname "The Moonwatch"

What you need to know

This Omega Speedmaster watch owes its nickname "Cappuccino" to its soft, warm tones. Indeed, this model elegantly combines steel with Sedna rose gold. Its case is embellished with a double bezel combining the precious brilliance of diamonds with a tachymetric scale, emblematic of the Speedmaster collection, engraved on brown aluminum. The case, bezel, sapphire crystal, bracelet and buckle of this example are in very good condition.

Finally, this 100-meter water-resistant model features a screw-down caseback stamped with the emblematic seahorse. Enclosing a self-winding mechanical movement with Co-Axial escapement and silicon balance.
