Oris BC3 Advanced Day Date automatic black dial leather strap 42 mm

The BC3 Advanced from Oris is a unique watch.

Oris first introduced the BC3 (Big Crown) collection in 1999, and had become a mainstay of the Oris sports watch collection. Although pilot-inspired, the BC3 range set itself apart from other watches of its kind by offering something a little more aesthetically different, namely the large geometric case that has remained largely unchanged (save for a few details) since its inception.

In 2010, Oris revisited the BC3 line with the release of the BC3 Advanced Day/Date. For the record, "Advanced" is the category for the most experienced acrobatic pilots.

A "Big Crown" Day-Date in 42 mm

This watch features a steel case with a dynamic, geometric design. The crown is protected from accidental disruption by a "bumper" secured with special screws. Any pilot's watch must be reliable and offer optimum legibility. This BC3 is no exception to the rule: its black dial is contrasted with Super-LumiNova®-coated hands, numerals and hour markers.

Available on a leather strap, the BC3 Advanced strikes the eye with its sporty yet out-of-the-ordinary look. In the air and on the ground.

This version is adorned with a smooth stitched leather strap equipped with a steel pin buckle.

Engine side

This BC3 is powered by Oris Caliber 735, which the brand developed from a Sellita SW220-1 base. This caliber features a "Day/Date" complication at six o'clock and displays the time precisely. The automatic winding is driven by Oris' characteristic red rotor, visible through the transparent caseback. A 38-hour power reserve is available when the watch is not worn on the wrist.
