Founded in 1918 by Georges Schaeren, an experienced Swiss watchmaker, the MIDO brand, derived from the Spanish "Yo mido" meaning "I measure", quickly became a byword for technical innovation. The Multifort collection was launched in 1934, becoming one of the first antimagnetic watches with an automatic movement. Then came the Ocean Star collection, born in 1944 with a revolutionary monocoque case, reducing any risk of water-resistance problems with the case back. Today, the brand is present at a number of events and is associated, among others, with the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series and the UIA, the International Union of Architects.

This model, ref. M026.629.11.051.01, features a function much appreciated by watch enthusiasts: GMT! You'll appreciate the robustness of its steel bracelet and the diversity offered by this watch, which is water-resistant to 200 metres. For the first time in its history, Mido has equipped the dial of this model with indexes in the shape of shark teeth. The Ocean Star GMT's navy blue dial is matched by the blue aluminium ring on the polished, fluted bezel.
