The collection

Inspired by the history of aviation, the Bell & Ross watchmaking house designs collections of instrument-watches that pay tribute to the key eras of aeronautics and their technological advances from 1900 to the present day.

As always, it's all about heritage. First and foremost that of military specifications, from which Bell & Ross watches borrow their rigor and exacting standards in terms of legibility, functionality, precision and water-resistance. But also that of the codes of the time, which are conscientiously respected and revisited to create original models that are nonetheless faithful to those that inspired them.

With this VINTAGE collection, this watch line focuses on SPORT HERITAGE models with a special tribute paid to the 1960s.

The model

This BR 126 features a 43 mm x 15 mm round polished steel case with straight lugs. The dial is black with gold indexes and numerals, a perfect use of material and color contrasts with a certain elegance. This BR 126 Sport Heritage GMT & Flyback thus benefits from perfect legibility.

Associated with a domed sapphire crystal, this timepiece is aimed at those who appreciate modern watches with a certain watchmaking "golden age" charm! Indeed, we can note the presence of a black aluminum insert with a printed tachymetric scale, just like back in the day.

On this dial, there are two sub-counters, one linked to running seconds at 3 o'clock and another, displaying a 24-hour GMT counter at 9 o'clock. The baton-shaped, luminescent hour and minute hands are mounted in the center. The long gold hand counts the chronograph seconds and can be instantly reset to zero when the chrono is running, thanks to the flyback mechanism. Unusually, the chronograph minutes (60 minutes) are counted using the plane-tip hand, instead of an auxiliary dial. The chronograph is operated by the standard pump pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock. Finally, the pusher at 10 o'clock is used to set the 24-hour time. Each press advances the sub-dial hand by one hour. Finally, there's a date aperture between 4 and 5 o'clock, to maintain perfect symmetry.
