"Less is more"
1969 a symbolic year! The AM69 is a "timeless essential." A condensation of simplicity all in roundness for a refined yet racy watch, a true allegory of the designers' aesthetic vision. Because "less is more."
A superb grained blue "Cross Hair" dial.
The "Navy" blue dial of this AM69 Automatique is built with the "cross hair" design typical of the 70s. It is deliberately simplified and assembled with fine, elegant hour markers, and the dial offers a deliberately streamlined sandblasted finish to let simplicity breathe beneath the raised, domed sapphire crystal. The aperture, encircled by a chased steel window, features a date display with highly retro white numerals printed on a black background, revealing the number 3 in green once a month. A discreetly printed railway track frames the whole. The M logo is a finely cut applique. The hands have been simplified to the essentials and are slender to let the whole breathe. Finally, Luminova is applied above each hour marker as well as on the face of the hands for optimum legibility in the dark.
A round case that catches the light
All March LA.B watch cases meet scrupulously respected construction criteria. Invariably brushed-polished, they catch the ambient light to bring your watch to life.
The AM69 is an attractive 12.5mm-thick round case in 36mm whose angular, carinated lugs reveal a slight flatness all around the immaculate polished bezel. The contrasting lines make this a modern watch, slightly outdated yet contemporary at the same time. The anti-reflective, virtually scratch-proof sapphire crystal is slightly raised and angular to reaffirm the character of this more classic watch. The round crown positioned at 4 o'clock has been simplified and diminished for greater elegance and simplicity.
A Franco-Swiss automatic movement
The first movement to emerge from the partnership between the Swiss manufacture La Joux-Perret and the family-owned Humbert-Droz house in Bisonne, the G100 is a new three-hand automatic caliber with date, featuring a handsome 68-hour power reserve and proven architecture. This ultra-precise 24-jewel movement with dimensions of 24.6 mm x 4.45 mm develops a frequency of 4 Hz and 28,800 vibrations.
Equipped with a Stop Seconde, it boasts extreme precision ranging from -4 to +6 seconds per day and offers a 68-hour power reserve more commonly known as "Week-end proof", enabling the watch to run from Friday evening to Monday morning without being worn by its lucky owner. March LA.B positions itself as a pioneer of "horlo-responsibility" with the desire to pool skills and join forces for a movement 100% machined in Switzerland and 100% assembled in France.
A 3-link brushed steel bracelet
Like these watches, March LA.B bracelets are designed with the utmost attention to detail, the use of the finest materials and the assistance of the best craftsmen, to perfectly match the lugs of its watches.
This steel bracelet features a 3-link design. The angles and bevels are present and the brushed polish respected. What's more, this bracelet is interchangeable without tools, as it is equipped with the presto system.
