An iconic collection

Born in 1999, the Highlife collection has marked the history of Geneva-based Frédérique Constant. Since its launch, it has embodied the values that have contributed to the brand's success: a faithful design inspired by fine Swiss watchmaking, a high degree of finishing and particular care to offer the fairest price for affordable luxury. Back in 2020, it's more modern than ever! After several urban, sporty, jewelled or adventurous variations, the brand is opening up to a new universe by playing the glamour chic card.

The iconic "Globe" dial

This Frederique Constant offers a curved 34 mm-diameter case, made to showcase as much as possible the rich palette of reflections offered by steel. The brand has therefore opted for a wide range of finishes alternating satin-finished and polished surfaces. The same is true of the bezel, entirely mirror-polished to emphasize the harmony of its perfect circle. It finds a double echo at the heart of the dial, with on the one hand the engraved representation of the terrestrial globe, the aesthetic signature of the Highlife collection.

The delicate curved case also benefits from a satin finish whose angle hugs every line of the Highlife design, right up to the edge of the case middle where a steel bracelet unfurls. The latter alternates two satin-brushed links with a polished central link, a remarkable piece of finishing that testifies to the affection of the Frédérique Constant manufacture. This very chic bracelet has its shock counterpart in the form of a second bracelet (supplied) in rubber and buckle. It will either reinforce the modern, urban spirit of steel, or play for balance against chic, sporty rubber.

Technical side

This Highlife Ladies Automatic embeds the self-winding FC-303 caliber. Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, it offers a comfortable 38-hour power reserve but above all a handsome finish. Visible through its transparent caseback, it exposes itself without limit in its mechanical intimacy, presenting finishes dear to the Geneva manufacture, such as Côtes de Genève, circular graining but also colimaçonnage.
