Timepieces from Glashütte have long been appreciated the world over for their spectacular calibers, sophisticated decoration and finishes, and timeless elegance. Since the 19th century, they have also served as navigation and geolocation instruments on land, at sea and in the air, thanks to their reliability and precision. Many of Glashütte's historic models include marine chronometers, observation watches, aviator's watches, and diving watches. These are "instrument watches" in very specific fields. Drawing on this valuable experience and its historical heritage, Glashütte Original has launched its "Specialist" collection. It includes the SeaQ, a diver's watch that perfectly blends history and modernity!

A model inspired by the past and reviving Glashütte's diving watch tradition

Inspired by the 1969 "Specimatic Type RP TS 200", Glashütte's first diver's watch (designed specifically for recreational diving), the SeaQ is understandably a resolutely vintage design. But this model has something special: it combines the elegance of gold and steel.

The 43.2 mm case is made of steel and benefits from a circular finish on the top and a satinized finish on the sides. The rotating bezel and crown are in solid pink gold. The central sapphire crystal case-back reveals the Manufacture Caliber 36-13 with all its classic features and refined finishes.

On this model, the gray galvanized dial echoes the silver-gray tone of the steel case. Golden Arabic numerals and hour markers coated with Super-LumiNova® are easy to read and add a warm touch. The black ceramic ring with white lacquer, the luminescent marking on the triangle of the rotating bezel and the white panoramic date numerals on a gray background provide contrast and clarity. Finally, this model is fitted with a water-resistant nylon bracelet.

Functionality, reliability and proven quality

Numerous details, such as the screw-down crown or the caseback with central clasp, guarantee the water-resistance of this SeaQ Date Panorama. It is water-resistant to 30 bar and will reliably accompany its owner to a depth of 300 meters. This timepiece features a notched unidirectional bezel for reliable dive time measurement. Thanks to its bayonet mount, the movement is securely anchored in the case for shock resistance and offers a 100-hour running time and high, reliable running accuracy.

Finally, this timepiece meets all the quality requirements defined by the strict DIN and ISO standards for diving watches. This watch has undergone extensive examination and testing for water and air tightness, both under and over pressure. This SeaQ Date Panorama is then subjected to an intensive 24-day in-house test that goes far beyond the high requirements of the German chronometric standard.

This watch was launched in 2022. Its owner has taken great care of it and it will be delivered to you complete with: its original box, its manual, as well as its warranty. It has been authenticated and checked by our watchmaker and is therefore covered by our one-year Lepage Vintage warranty.
