MARCH LA.B X GITANA

GITANA and MARCH LA.B have joined forces to develop a marine watch at home in all sailing conditions: the BELZA GITANA. A new, slimmer case, 40 mm in diameter, driven by a Swiss automatic movement with a 68-hour power reserve, water-resistant to 200 meters and available in a limited edition.

This BELZA GITANA watch was developed for the sailors of the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild, to accompany them on their maritime adventures and sporting exploits, such as recently on the ROUTE DU RHUM - DESTINATION GUADELOUPE. This legendary race was brilliantly won by Charles CAUDRELIER, who added his name to the list of winners on November 16. A favorite of the event, the skipper of Maxi Edmond de Rothschild assumed his status and enabled GITANA to sign an historic double after his first victory in 2006. 6 days 19 hours 47 minutes 25 seconds is the new record for the crossing between Saint-Malo and Pointe-à-Pitre.

Optimally legible dial

The dial of this BELZA GITANA is constructed with the "cross hair" technique typical of the 70s. It is adorned with a double signature, that of the ocean racing stable: GITANA

It features massive indexes and a set of large hands filled with Luminova for optimum night or water reading. The steel aperture positioned at 3 o'clock reveals retro-style numerals in white on a black background and in green for each 3rd of the month. A printed railway track frames the whole. The M logo is a finely cut applique, while the BELZA logo is in Luminova to glow in the dark. Finally, Luminova is applied to the face of the hands for optimum legibility.

A unidirectional ceramic bezel

The bezels of the BELZA Automatiques are built in ceramic, which gives it high scratch resistance and optimal legibility in all circumstances. This bezel rotates on "120 clicks" for precise time measurement while allowing ultra-precise 30-second adjustments. The interlaced March LA.B lines are chiseled with great precision around the circumference of the bezel. The whole is harmonious and finalizes the case's signature construction.

On the back of the watch, the caseback is assembled with a gold-colored relief plaque representing the Villa Belza in Biarritz. Finally, the BELZA GITANA comes with a second black silicone strap, as well as a watchmaker's screwdriver designed so you can change bracelets as your adventures unfold. The latter slip with the watch into a storage pouch specifically designed in the colors of the GITANA stable. A little info: the 20 mm colored silicone bracelets are assembled with more resistant screwed bars, just like the buffalo bracelets.

A Franco-Swiss automatic movement

The first movement to emerge from the partnership between the Swiss manufacture La Joux-Perret and the family-owned Humbert-Droz company from Bisonne, the G100 is a new three-hand automatic caliber with date, featuring a handsome 68-hour power reserve and proven architecture. This ultra-precise 24-jewel movement with dimensions of 24.6 mm x 4.45 mm develops a frequency of 4 Hz and 28,800 vibrations.

Equipped with a Stop Seconde, it boasts extreme precision ranging from -4 to +6 seconds per day and offers a 68-hour power reserve more commonly known as "Week-end proof", enabling the watch to run from Friday evening to Monday morning without being worn by its lucky owner. March LA.B positions itself as a pioneer of "horlo-responsibility" with the desire to bring together skills and join forces for a movement 100% machined in Switzerland and 100% assembled in France.
