A return to the roots

Since its creation in 1988, the Frédérique Constant brand has pursued a simple objective: to create quality Swiss watches at an affordable price and democratize Swiss Made luxury watchmaking. To achieve this, it offers watches with pure lines and meticulous finishing, all powered by reliable, high-performance Swiss calibers. For this year, the Genevan Manufacture revisits its timeless model with a more modern, stronger, more contemporary design.

Original, timeless aesthetic codes

For this new model, the brand goes back to the roots of classicism, which has defined timeless aesthetic canons over the centuries. These include a guilloché dial, Dauphine hands and delicate applied hour-markers.

This reference features a 30 x 33 mm steel case, worn on a blue alligator-finish calfskin leather strap. Its blue dial features an open heart at 12 o'clock, bringing a modern twist to this very classic box shape. The whole is completed, in the center, by a railway track framing a grooved finish. The whole is, of course, protected by a domed sapphire crystal.

Mechanism side

The Manufacture has real expertise in open-heart watches. Indeed, Frédérique Constant's first Heart Beat watch saw the light of day in 1994. Since then, its original design has frequently been taken up and copied, but it is never as pure and authentic as within a genuine Frédérique Constant watch. That's what this Classics Carrée Heart Beat Automatic offers today: a tribute to the founding spirit of the Maison, the rediscovery of a design that is in turn in line with the brand's classics.

This Classics Carrée Heart Beat Automatic features the self-winding FC-311 caliber. Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, it offers a comfortable 38-hour power reserve and, above all, an attractive finish. Visible through its transparent caseback, the timepiece exposes its mechanical intimacy and the finishes dear to the Geneva manufacture, such as Côtes de Genève and perlage, without limit.
