The collection

Manufacture Zenith revisits its own past from the perspective of the present through the Elite collection, with unisex automatic watches. Sleek and minimalist yet strong in its graphic identity and confident in its timeless lines and proportions, the Elite collection doesn't repeat the past, but rather rejuvenates the codes of mid-twentieth-century watchmaking. These models set the tone for Zenith's vision of contemporary elegance.

The model

Presented on the occasion of the Manufacture's 150th anniversary in 2015, this Elite Chronograph Classic model is a superb bicompax with an ultra-classic design, reminiscent of watches from the 1950s.

The extra-flat (11 mm thick) rose gold case measures 42 mm in diameter and boasts a distinctive pebble shape, enhanced by a fluted crown and rectangular pushers. Its curves are underlined by ergonomic lugs that fit perfectly on most wrists. On the display side, the understated silver dial features hour, minute, small seconds and chronograph indications, punctuated by fine faceted leaf hands. The domed sapphire crystal, anti-reflective on both sides, optimizes readability, while in a trompe-l'oeil effect, the stylized hour-markers are engraved on the domed dial, creating a perception of relief.

Alternatively polished and sandblasted, the 50-meter water-resistant caseback reveals the fascinating mechanics of the El Primero 4069 caliber and its openworked oscillating weight, adorned with the Zenith star.

Finally, this watch is dressed in a rubber-lined alligator strap, closed by a triple folding clasp, in rose gold. A timepiece for the refined aesthete...with a fiery temperament!

Don't be fooled! Despite its name "Elite Chronograph" and its understated design, its heart beats to the frantic rhythm of a racing beast, the legendary El Primero movement!

Following in the footsteps of the world's most accurate production chronograph - designed by Zenith in 1969 - the self-winding El Primero 4069 caliber continues the strengths of its mythical heritage: its integrated construction with column wheel and its exceptional rate of 36,000 vibrations per hour, guaranteeing 1/10th of a second accuracy and a 50-hour power reserve!

The package

This Zenith Elite Chronograph is in very good condition. It will be delivered with its case and user manual. This model has been authenticated and checked by our watchmaker and as such benefits from the Lepage Vintage 1-year warranty.
