With its iconic design directly inspired by the cockpit of an airplane, the company has built on the fundamental principle of function with its emblematic "round in the square with four screws" design, born in 2005 with the BR 01. Yes, because despite its apparent similarity to the original BR03, this timepiece actually multiplies evolutions. A discreet metamorphosis that profoundly alters its appearance. And for 2023, the new BR03 reinvents itself with a latest-generation caliber and a 41 mm case so that everything evolves, but nothing changes.

BR 03 Golden Heritage: A sublime brown dial

A BR 03 Golden Heritage offers the seduction of a brown dial obtained by galvanization, punctuated by gold applique numerals and hour markers creating a subtle effect of depth. The dial is enhanced by two skeletonized metal hands filled with Super-LumiNova®.

The proportions of the dial are perfectly studied, creating an unrivalled graphic balance that draws the eye directly to the relevant information with ease. We particularly like the way the French brand integrates the date window at 4:30. Round and color-matched, it is designed to be discreet.

A 1 mm difference in a muscular case

Bell & Ross has decided to revisit this watch to enable it to fully meet the expectations of today's watch enthusiasts. Moving from 42 mm to 41 mm, the reduction in case size resolutely changes the visual rendering of the timepiece. Able to detect seemingly insignificant details, the eye immediately perceives this reduction in size. The same is true of the slimmer lugs (4 mm vs. 4.5 mm previously), which now benefit from a faceted effect. The change is also expressed in the softening of the rounded corners of the case and the adjustment of the hands.

With these changes, this BR 03 isn't afraid to show off! But its relatively low profile means it can be worn comfortably by a wide range of people. In brushed steel with polished bevels, the case just begs to be admired!

Add to this an intriguing three-part sandwich construction: The central case is secured by exposed screws, screwed in from above. By exposing these screws, Bell & Ross has captured the spirit of a cockpit instrument without succumbing to the superfluous. The same thing happens on the back, where four additional screws are screwed into the corners to secure the case back. The angular, articulated lugs complete this muscular look!

An automatic caliber

This watch is powered by the new version of the BR-CAL-302 caliber, built from the Swiss Sellita SW-300-1 movement. This caliber is a real tractor, beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and now offering 54 hours of power reserve! This latest-generation movement means you can put your watch down for a weekend, for example, and find it perfectly functional, at the exact time, two days later.
