Inspired by the archives

Seiko draws inspiration from its archives to create a new "Rally Diver": remember the 5126-8130, a little nugget from 1969! An unusual model that had the particularity of offering a bezel nicknamed "Rally" because it offers a racing flag motif on its insert! For this special edition, Seiko is using this design code in its flagship Seiko 5 Sports "Retro Colour Collection" line!

This new "Rally Diverr" takes up the dimensions of the basic model, with its 42.5 mm diameter and 13.4 mm thickness. Its steel case has an attractive polished-brushed finish for a "toolwatch" look. This case offers water resistance to a depth of 100 meters.

The vintage inspiration displayed by this Seiko 5 Sports comes first and foremost from its dial and bezel. But a touch of modernity is added with large applied indexes, luminescent hands and a rotating bezel. Finally, the most appreciable detail is the day/date display, an element that many Seiko fans adore!

Finally, this watch is clothed in a fully brushed "Oyster" steel bracelet, for optimum comfort!

Technical side

This Seiko 5 Sports "Rally" features the Manufacture 4R36 automatic winding caliber. This is one of the Japanese firm's essential movements, used in most Presage and Prospex watches. It beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a 42-hour power reserve. Designed to be reliable and robust, its construction is as simple as possible. What's more, it features a highly appreciated "Day / Date" complication!
