The flagship and emblematic collection of the French brand Herbelin, the Newport line is inspired by the marine and nautical universe, and more particularly by the portholes of transatlantic sailing ships. Launched in 1988, the Newport has never ceased to reinvent itself in different variations, but always retains its porthole-style bezel! There's even a marine wheel stamped on the crown, details that adorn every watch in the Newport collection. These models, with their sporty, distinguished design, are an invitation to travel. They are also designed for multiple activities, to accompany you at every moment. Timeless and contemporary, this great brand classic is available in automatic or quartz versions, on steel or leather straps. There are also models with various complications, such as chronographs or GMT.

DNA respected

Both polished and brushed to emphasize its three-faceted cutout, the steel case has a diameter of 43 millimeters. Framing a conical crown, the pushers take on a faceted rectangular shape, firming up the geometry of the case. Discreetly engraved with "Newport" and punctuated with five screws evoking sailboat winches, the bezel, matching the case, reveals a dial that combines, in just the right balance, numerous practical everyday functions.

Adorned with a gradient blue background, tapered, faceted hour markers are neatly inserted into the minute scale. The whole is traversed by a set of rhodium-plated steel hands, partially covered with luminescent material identical to the imposing indexes, for optimal legibility.

A quartz chrono

Functional for multiple activities, this Newport quartz chronograph counts times up to 10 hours. Three counters, placed respectively at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock are devoted to displaying minutes, hours and small seconds. The range of functions would not be complete without a date window. Indicated at 4:30, it is as discreet as possible without detracting from its readability.

Water-resistant to 100 meters, this HERBELIN timepiece is adorned with a white stitched leather strap. Curved in the center and with a folding clasp, it completes its elegance through the attention to detail.

This Newport chronograph embeds a Swiss-made quartz movement (Ronda 5040-D). Made in France for having been designed, conceived, hand-assembled, adjusted and inspected in the HERBELIN workshops located in the Jura mountains of Franche-Comté, this new racer highlights traditional French watchmaking know-how handed down, from father to son, for over 75 years.
