Celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2022, the French watchmaking house HERBELIN is launching a new collection, conceived and designed exclusively for the female gender. Named Galet in reference to its source of inspiration, it unveils this first all-round model, powered by an automatic movement. Oscillating between classicism and modernity, this watch goes out a winner in an irresistible charm offensive.

A timeless display

Like a rounded pebble smoothed by the movement of water on the seashore or in a torrent bed, the polished steel case reveals a curvaceous silhouette orchestrated by a subtle curve in a 33.55 mm diameter. Supported by a sapphire crystal domed on both sides, this softness extends to the genuine white mother-of-pearl dial. Shimmering in the light, the dial is discreetly distinguished. At its center, a silvered circle in relief underlines the roundness of the whole. Delicately positioned around the perimeter, zircon hour markers, subtly interspersed with polished applied Roman numerals, animate the blued steel hour and minute hands, to the rhythm of a varnished black second hand. The fluted crown, adorned with blue onyx, also plays up the luxury of detail, as does the date window at 6 o'clock.

An automatic heart

Conjugating, in turn, a voluptuousness of form, the polished steel bracelet wraps delicately around the wrist, offering a wearer both chic and comfortable. The sensual elegance of this feminine timepiece is brought to life by a Swiss-made self-winding mechanical movement. A guarantee of precision and proven reliability, it boasts a 38-hour power reserve. Aesthetes of fine mechanics will appreciate.

Made in France for having been designed, conceived, assembled, adjusted and controlled in the HERBELIN workshops located in the Jura mountains of Franche-Comté, this watch inherits traditional French watchmaking know-how handed down from father to son for three generations.
