It was at the end of the 1960s that the House of Tissot took advantage of the wind of liberation from standard shapes to offer watches with trendy colours and pop design. It was not until 1978 that the PRX collection was born with a tonneau case, a round and smooth bezel, equipped with a quartz movement, all carefully integrated into a steel bracelet. It was only a few years later that the brand decided to register the name PRX : "P R" for Precise and Robust and "X" or 10 in Roman numerals for the watch's water resistance to 10 ATM (10 bars or 100m).
