ZRC GF 3000 Titanium automatic black dial rubber strap 42 mm
A winning combination for this GF 3000 Titanium: its deep black dial enhanced by subtle orange notes is an invitation to explore the ocean depths.
The story
In the early 1960s, Maison ZRC began designing a wristwatch for diving: the Grands Fonds 300, which was notably chosen by the French Navy to equip its divers between 1964 and 1982. Since 2015, this icon has been making a comeback on the watchmaking scene. Building on the success of the Grands Fonds 300, ZRC had to develop a new case. Benefiting from all the brand's expertise, the Grands Fonds 3000 strikes hard!
Grade II titanium case, ceramic bezel insert, domed 5mm sapphire crystal, armored 4mm 316L steel caseback, rubber strap, single titanium buckle - nothing has been left to chance. The first watch to boast resistance to a depth of 5000m without the presence of a helium valve, the Grands Fonds 3000 represents the efficiency and simplicity so dear to the French brand. With a total thickness of 19.5mm this "very deep" waterproof watch remains wearable on any occasion.
Getting to know you
This GF50699 reference features a deep black dial enhanced by subtle orange notes: an invitation to explore the ocean depths. Its black rubber strap reinforces the aesthetic personality of this diver's watch. Versatile thanks to its sporty chic styling, like all ZRCs, this model is also resolutely technical.
In fact, every detail of this ZRC GF 3000 Titanium watch is designed to meet the needs of divers once in the depths. First and foremost, the crown is positioned at 6 o'clock, and must be perfectly screwed down to allow the bracelet to slip over the wrist. The curved 5 mm crystal and imposing Superluminova-coated Magnum hands ensure perfect legibility, even in the darkest conditions. Last but not least, the ECS system developed by the Geneva-based Manufacture facilitates the maintenance of your watch and further enhances its robustness: a unique system for cleaning the inside of the bezel by circulating clear water to dilute and evacuate sea salt. ECS® is the ultimate tribute to the original Grands Fonds® and clearly in line with the brand's DNA.
Programmed material deformation
ZRC® has strong expertise in the study of stresses linked to programmed deformation of materials, which guarantees the manufacture of water-resistant watches at very great depths (5100M) without having to resort to a helium valve or the presence of gel in the case: moreover this also makes it possible to reduce the thickness of the case making the watch more comfortable to wear. Sapphire crystal, titanium case and ceramic do not react in the same way to pressure and temperature variations. This recognized expertise enables the Brand to offer reliable, simple and effective watches.
Rubber strap
To adorn the new Grands Fonds 3000 ZRC® has developed an all-new rubber strap. Inspired by the design of the metal bracelet, it is very comfortable and available in many colors.
Engine side
This ZRC GF50699 watch is powered by a SELLITA "Elaboré" SW200-1 automatic movement, guaranteeing a power reserve of almost 38 hours and a tolerance of +/- 7 seconds per day. In other words, this timepiece will never let you down. It is housed in a totally non-magnetic monobloc case with an opening of 42 mm.
