Appearing in the 1960s, the Seiko 5 was a new standard in the world of affordable mechanical watches. A Street inspiration!

For this edition, Seiko takes as its base the Seiko 5 Sports model: 42.5 mm in diameter and 13.4 mm thick! For a street look, the steel case is given a "Full Black" finish with a carbonized titanium coating, giving an almost shiny appearance.

For the first time in the SKX series, a "camouflage" pattern is used on the dial. The dial's radiant finish is combined with a three-dimensional stamped pattern to create a highly textured look. The watch also features a black fabric NATO strap, ideal for sporting activities.

Technical side

This Seiko 5 Sports embeds the self-winding Manufacture caliber 4R36. This is one of the Japanese firm's must-have movements, which is notably used in most Presage and Prospex watches. It beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a 42-hour power reserve. Designed to be reliable and robust, its construction is as simple as possible. What's more, it offers a most appreciable "Day / Date" complication!
