Seiko King Turtle: a true Diver's!"

The Seiko Turtle is one of Seiko's mythical divers. The Turtle nickname derives from the cushiony, turtle-shell-like shape of the first 6309s produced from 1976 to 1982. In 2015, the Japanese brand revived the "Turtle" myth, with the release of the SRP777. Finally, the Japanese brand has declined it in a more high-end version, with the release of the King Turtle! This diver takes the general look of the Turtle and incorporates the latest watchmaking codes: a larger diameter increased to 45 mm, a new automatic movement, the 4R36, a ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal! Since then, the brand has adapted this iconic timepiece in numerous variations!

Today, we bring you this special edition "PADI Great Blue". The dial of this model was inspired by the view of a diver underwater, when the sun reflects and shines on the surface. The light-blue minute hand and bezel scale allow great legibility in deep water.

Also, this King Turtle is a true Diver's: its water resistance is extended to a depth of 200 meters, its crown is screw-down and its ceramic diving bezel is unidirectional. Finally, its steel bracelet has a diving extension, ideal for wearing over a wetsuit.

Technical side

This Seiko Diver's embeds the self-winding Manufacture caliber 4R36. This is one of the Japanese firm's must-have movements, used notably in most Presage and Prospex watches. It beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a 42-hour power reserve. Designed to be reliable and robust, its construction is as simple as possible. What's more, it offers a most appreciable "Day / Date" complication!
