Ultra Deep: A tribute to the world diving record

During the Five Deeps expedition in 2019, the Ultra Deep made history by descending to the deepest point on Earth, accompanying explorer Victor Vescovo at the controls of his submarine, on an exploration mission to the bottom of the Mariana Trench. The depth reached was a record 10,928 meters! After this dive, the game-changing watch was adapted into a unique collection for the general public. A watch tested in real-life conditions during its development and compliant with the ISO 6425:2018 standard for saturation diving watches, certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).

A special edition for the 75th anniversary of the Seamaster collection!

This model reference 215.30.46.21.03.002 features a case made of O-MEGASTEEL, a new high-performance stainless steel alloy. This high-purity material has an even more brilliant polished appearance, with a more intense white color. It also boasts higher strength and hardness than conventional steel. The 45.5 mm case is topped by a polished black ceramic bezel. Its domed sapphire crystal tops an extraordinary dial that pays homage to the mysteries of the deep. Its pattern is a precise representation of the bottom of the Challenger Deep, the deepest point in the Mariana Trench, mapped by members of the Five Deeps expedition using nearly a million sonar points. Its lacquered finish, obtained by dripping an ocean of lacquer onto the dial, gives a superb impression of depth. The dial has a playful side. A UV light reveals the words "OMEGA WAS HERE", pointing to the world diving record of 10,935 metres and showing the western, central and eastern basins. As an anecdote, the dial shade is dubbed Summer Blue, a hue specially designed to pay tribute to the 75th anniversary of the Seamaster collection!

Finally, the watch is fitted with a bracelet also made in O-MEGASTEEL with an extendable folding clasp. Its rack-and-pinion clasp allows for size adjustment and features an additional extension for diving.

A commemorative caseback

To mark 75 years of the Seamaster collection, the back of this watch features a stamped version of the commemorative Seamaster logo depicting Poseidon equipped with a trident and two seahorses: the original OMEGA logo from 1956 and the House's current design. The logo was designed by Jean-Pierre Borle, who was inspired by a trip to Venice and the carved representations of Neptune's seahorse found at either end of the city's iconic gondolas.

This symbol reflects the collection's maritime heritage, refined style and robust spirit.

This watch is powered by Omega caliber 8912, a self-winding movement with Co-Axial escapement. Master Chronometer certified and METAS approved, this watch offers a 60-hour power reserve, precision between 0 and +5 seconds per day and resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss.
