Omega presents its legendary diver to mark the 75th anniversary of the Seamaster collection! A summery hue and a commemorative caseback for this icon of watchmaking.
Seamaster 300: An ocean professional
Omega presents the Seamaster 300, part of the famous Professional "trilogy" of 1957: Seamaster - Speedmaster - Railmaster. At this time, the Seamaster adopted the major innovations that would take it into the world of diving, where a whole new universe opened up with the rise of scuba diving, an exciting new hobby that was now affordable and accessible to almost everyone. With this democratization of the deep, the Omega Seamaster was ready to play a new role. With its ultra-legible display, large arrow hands and slim hour markers on a black background, the Seamaster offered a first advantage. But its main asset was its exceptional water-resistance, indicated by the "Naiad" star adorning the logo on the crown. Its 200-meter water resistance allowed it to tickle its main rivals. For the record, the Seamaster 300 was water-resistant to a depth of 200 meters, but was known as the "300" because its performance exceeded the capabilities of the testing devices of the time. The first Seamaster 300 and its subsequent variants quickly became the divers of choice for many explorers and divers, notably with the reference CK 2913. For example, Jacques-Yves Cousteau and his team used it during his "Précontinent II" experiments on the Red Sea in the summer of 1963, to prove that divers could live in saturated water for long periods without experiencing adverse effects. The Seamaster 300 also became the timepiece of many military divers around the world, including those of the British Special Boat Service. The Seamaster 300 is simply timeless. The brand's name stands alongside other great manufacturers in the line of iconic divers. Today, these watches have remained true to their original design, but now incorporate features that keep pace with technological and watchmaking evolution!
A special Summer Blue edition for the 75th anniversary of the Seamaster collection!
Equipped with a symmetrical polished and satin-finished stainless steel case, this 41 mm Seamaster 300 is mounted on a matching bracelet.
The dial varnished in OMEGA's exclusive summer blue color features a gradient finish that reflects the watch's water-resistance level. True to the color code, OMEGA coats the rhodium-plated hands, hollowed indexes and numerals with light-blue Super-Luminova.
A commemorative caseback
To mark 75 years of the Seamaster collection, the back of this watch features a stamped version of the commemorative Seamaster logo depicting Poseidon equipped with a trident and two seahorses: the original OMEGA logo from 1956 and the House's current design. The logo was designed by Jean-Pierre Borle, who was inspired by a trip to Venice and the carved representations of Neptune's seahorse found at either end of the city's iconic gondolas.
This symbol reflects the collection's maritime heritage, refined style and robust spirit.
A Co-Axial caliber certified Master Chronometer
This watch is powered by Omega caliber 8912, a self-winding movement with Co-Axial escapement. Master Chronometer certified and METAS approved, this watch offers a 60-hour power reserve, precision between 0 and +5 seconds per day and resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss.
